Carol Moore
Carol Moore attended Glasgow School of Art, studying B.A.hons. drawing and painting, where she was awarded the First Year Self Portrait Prize, as well as a Greenshields travelling scholarship allowing her to spend a year in Aix-en-Provence in France at the Ecole des Beaux-arts. Other awards have included The Herring Prize by the Pastel Society at the Mall Galleries London.
She has exhibited widely throughout the UK especially Scotland and Germany. Her work is also held in private collections in the U.S. and Australia.
“My work is mainly concentrated in two subject areas: still life and narrative paintings with figures and animals. Colour has always been a dominant force in my work, I value strong drawing and owe this to my Glasgow art school training.”
